Pets
In Spring of 2008, USG worked to re-evaluate the pet policy on campus. No animals are allowed in academic or residential facilities with the exception of some small mammals and fish as approved by the Office of Housing, Residential Life, and Greek Life. Dogs are now allowed to walk on campus.

Political Issues and Activities

The official University Policy on Political Activities as stated in the Student Handbook reads as follows...

"The university does not take positions on political issues other than those which relate directly to its own mission. University facilities and services may not be used for political fund-raising or to advocate a partisan position, and requests for their use will not be granted for activities which may cause the university to appear to be taking a position with regard to a public issue or a candidate for public office. This restriction also applies to the use of campus mail services, university mailing lists and labels, duplicating and printing equipment, and telephones belonging to the university"

Posting Policy
The University Posting Policy has recently undergone revision in Spring 2008. The policy is enforced by The Office of Student Affairs and can be found here .

Important Notes:
1) No Spray Chalk is allowed on campus
2) Painting of Spirit Wall may commence between the hours of 10pm and 6am only.

Smoking Policy
Smoking is forbidden within all buildings on campus and is allowed at designated smoking areas. Full Policy is here.

Notes: The intent of this policy is to create an environment friendly to the rights of all individuals. Please respect others by smoking away from vents, windows, doorways, and large groups of people.
